QUEENS, NY - A Queens landlord who walked into a police station and told cops he "did something bad" has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of his tenants and girlfriend Tuesday, NYPD officials said.

David Daniel, 54, was charged late Tuesday with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said. If convicted, Daniel faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. His next court date is set for November.

“The bloody crime scene was the result of extraordinary brutality," Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement. "In court, what we will show is that the defendant viciously stabbed his defenseless victims to death.”

Daniel lives at 122-39 Milburn St. near Nashville Boulevard, the same St. Albans address where three victims - a man and woman in a basement bedroom and a woman in an upstairs bedroom - were found unconscious with multiple stab wounds Tuesday, police said.

The woman found upstairs was later identified as Daniel's girlfriend, police said.

Daniel reportedly turned himself in at the 113th Precinct about 7 a.m. and told cops that he had a dispute with his tenants, said Kevin Williams, the NYPD's commanding officer for southern Queens.

"The male stated that he 'did something bad,'" he said.

Daniel's tip led police to the scene about 7:16 a.m., police said. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The investigation remains ongoing.
