Queens Man Attacked Subway Rider With Bottle: NYPD

A 57-year-old man was sitting on a southbound 5 train when Ellis​ Landel approached the victim and struck him in the head with a bottle.

QUEENS, NY — A 43-year-old Queens man has been arrested and charged for attacking a subway rider with a glass bottle, police said.

The incident happened on Aug. 13 around 9:10 a.m. on a number 5 train near the Grand Concourse and East 138 Street station, police said.

He exited the train at the Grand Concourse and East 138 Street station and fled on foot,

The victim sustained a laceration to the head and was treated on scene by EMS.
