Queens Man Beats Elderly Father To Death: NYPD, Report

A 79-year-old man died Monday after his son, 47, pummeled him inside their shared Corona home, according to police and reports.

QUEENS, NY — A Queens man beat his 79-year-old father to death during a fight inside their shared home, according to police and reports.

The man, 47, struck his father several times with his first during an argument Monday afternoon, the New York Daily News first reported.

Police responded to a 911 call about a dispute in the 43rd Avenue home, near 108th Street in Corona, NYPD officials said.

They arrived about 1:20 p.m. to find the elderly man injured, authorities said. Medics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, police said.

Cops took the 47-year-old man into custody as police investigate the death as a potential homicide, officials said.
