Queens Man Accused In 10-Year-Old's 2021 Murder: NYPD

QUEENS — A second man was arrested in the fatal shooting of a 10-year-old boy who was killed as he opened the door to leave his aunt’s house in Far Rockaway two years ago, police said.

Ashram Lochan, 29, was charged with murder after the killing of Justin Wallace, the boy from Arverne who would have turned 11, and the wounding of a 29-year-old man who was shot in the shoulder in June 5, 2021, about 9:30 p.m., the NYPD said.

Three days after the boy's death in 2021, the 29-year-old Jovan Young was arrested for murder, authorities said.

Both men also face weapons charges, cops said.

The 10-year-old was shot in the torso and he was taken to Saint John's Episcopal Hospital, where he died, police said.

The 29-year-old man was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, authorities said.
