Queens Man Killed After Getting Hit By Truck, Police Says

JAMAICA, QUEENS — A man died after getting hit by a truck while crossing the street Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.

Khavir Ahmed, 84, of Queens, was crossing the street at the 168th Place and 88th Street intersection when he was hit by a turning truck, police said. The driver remained on the scene.

The crash victim was found unconscious at the scene and was transferred to Jamaica Hospital, where he died on Wednesday as a result of his injuries.

The incident is still under investigation by NYPD's Collision Squad.
