Queens Man Pleads Guilty After Woman's Body Found In Duffel Bag: DA
Orsolya Gaal was killed in her home on April 16, and her body was later found inside a duffel bag at Forest Park, prosecutors said.
QUEENS – A Queens man pleaded guilty to manslaughter after a dead woman was found in a duffel bag in Forest Hills, the Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Wednesday.
David Bonola, 44, pleaded guilty to manslaughter after killing Orsolya Gaal, 51, in her home on April 16, and then leaving her body inside a duffel bag at Forest Park, prosecutors said.
A Queens Supreme Court Justice sentenced Bonola to 25 years in prison, Katz said.

In April, the victim returned to her home at Juno Street about 12:30 a.m. when Bonola, a handyman who had worked on her home on several occasions, entered the residence, prosecutors said.
Gaal and Bonola started arguing, and then Bonola slashed her throat and stabbed her about 50 times, the district attorney’s office said.

A nearby home’s security surveillance caught Bonola using a duffel bag that belonged to Gaal’s son to carry her body about 4:15 am, Katz said.
Gaal’s body was found about 8 a.m on Metropolitan Avenue, near Union Turnpike, at Forest Park, prosecutors said.
Bonola’s sentencing is scheduled for November 16, 2022, according to Katz.
