Queens Quarrel Over Beer Spills Into Fatal Stabbing, Police Say
An unidentified man died after being stabbed in the chest during a spat over beer in a Rego Park bodega early Tuesday, authorities said.

QUEENS, NY — A quarrel over beer spilled into a stabbing that left a man dead in Queens, police said.
The as-yet-unidentified stabbing victim was knifed in the chest early Tuesday after arguing with another man inside a Rego Park bodega about 12:35 a.m., authorities said.
The clash ended when one man stabbed the other, and ran off, NYPD officials said.

A witness told ABC7 that they saw the fatally stabbed man on the ground near the bodega along Queens Boulevard near 64th Road.
"I put my hands on his chest and tried to stop the bleeding, tried to check for a pulse," the witness said, according to the report.

Cops responded to find the unidentified man with a stab wound in his chest, police said.
Medics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, authorities said. Investigators were still working to identify the man, as well as his stabber, Tuesday morning, officials said.
