Ridgewood Man Arrested After Assaulting 61-Year-Old Woman: NYPD

QUEENS — A 21-year-old man was arrested after pushing a 61-year-old woman to the ground on Sunday in Ridgewood, police said.

Derek Sanchez, 21, was arrested Friday after he put his fingers on the woman’s mouth, pushed her to the ground, and fled on a black SUV on Feb. 5 about 9:15 p.m. in 60-73 Gates Avenue, the NYPD said.

The woman’s mouth swelled, and she was taken to Forest Hills Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
