Governor Cuomo announced $122M funding for a total of 81 project statewide.

ROOSEVELT ISLAND BRIDGE — Around $3 million will be allocated for the construction of a bike-only ramp on Roosevelt Island Bridge, according to Gov. Cuomo.

A total of $112 million will be spent statewide for pedestrian and bicyclist traffic enhancement and air quality improvement. Out of the secured budget, around $3 million will be used to construct a bike path on the bridge between Midtown and Astoria, Cuomo announced Wednesday.

The funding will cover 80 percent of costs for each of the 81 projects, all of which are aimed towards promoting walking and biking and the expansion of public transportation.
