  1. The man suspected of being behind two knife attacks in the span of fewer than 24 hours on the same subway line in Queens has been arrested. The alleged actions of Donny Ubiera, 32, sent two people to the hospital in separate morning attacks within the city's subway system, according to police officials. Ubiera is facing charges of attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. (NBC New York)
  2. On Jun. 25, the New York International Football Club (NYIFC) and Fit Club NY will host a charity 5K walk/run in honor of their late teammate Davide Giri. The event will take place at 21-03 31st Ave. in Astoria beginning at 10 a.m. After the 5K, there will be free yoga, dance, and personal training classes. All proceeds raised from the first annual 5K Charity Run for Davide will go to the Davide Giri Prize Memorial Fund, at the Computer Science Department of Columbia University. (QNS)
  3. On Friday, New York Governor Kathy Hocul announced that the largest component of the John F. Kennedy International Airport rebuild will begin this summer. The $9.5 billion project, which is expected to bring the terminal to a total of 2.4 million square feet, will begin in the coming months. According to the Port Authority, Terminal One will create 10,000 jobs, including 6,000 of temporary construction jobs. Officials also said that at least 30 percent of participating businesses will be minority and women-owned businesses. (Queens Daily Eagle)
