Suspect Charged After Stabbing Man Aboard NYC Subway Train, Police Say

It's unclear what led up to the incident.​

QUEENS, NY — A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on a subway train in Queens this past weekend, police said.

Luis Pallchisaca has been charged with attempted murder and assault. He was taken into custody by police on Wednesday.

Pallchisaca is accused of stabbing a 26-year-old man in the neck and back aboard a Flushing-bound 7 train near the 111th Street station on Sept. 21, police said.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

A motive into the stabbing is not known at this time. It's unclear what led up to the incident.
