JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — Target's expansion into Queens is continuing – this time with a new store in Jackson Heights.
The 22,700 square-foot space will open inside The Shoppes at 82nd Street in 2019, the company said.
The new store will be what the company calls a "small-format" location, meaning it fills a smaller space and carries a more limited stock than the company's regular shops. There are already four Targets in Queens, with a second "small format" which opened in 2016 on Austin St. in Forest Hills.

Meanwhile, Target's TriBeCa location is expected to begin a pilot program for same-day deliveries in June. That will be introduced into Brooklyn and Queens if successful, a store spokesman said.
