Taxi Driver Arrested for Beating Rival With Car Antenna at JFK Airport
The Port Authority arrested a cab driver for possession of a deadly weapon and assault this weekend.
QUEENS, NY — A dispute in the taxi line at JFK Airport on Sunday morning ended with one beating his rival with a car antenna, police said.
According to Port Authority police, Outmane Bouzid, from Corona, got into an argument with a fellow cab driver at 4:30 a.m. outside Terminal 4. Bouzid, 26, opened his fellow cab driver's door and punched the 42-year-old victim. Bouzid then removed the radio antenna from his own cab and began to beat the opposing cab driver in the head with it, police said.
Port Authority police responded and arrested Bouzid outside the terminal. He's been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, according to a Port Authority spokesman.
