Teen Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into MTA Bus In Queens, Cops Say

QUEENS, NY — A teen motorcyclist died after he rammed into the side of an MTA bus in Queens, police said.

Dylan Picaza, 16, was pronounced dead at the late Tuesday crash's scene in East Elmhurst, NYPD officials said.

The teen rode a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle along Astoria Boulevard about 10:35 p.m. when he crossed paths with an MTA bus crossing the road headed north on 101st Street, authorities said.

Picaza slammed into the bus's driver's side, killing him, police said. The bus driver, a 52-year-old man, didn't suffer any injuries, authorities said.

The bus was empty when the crash unfolded, police said.

Picaza wasn't wearing a helmet, the New York Daily News reported.
