Police said the attacker entered the child's second floor apartment in Rosedale through a window by using a ladder early Sunday.

The victim's parents, both of whom work overnight shifts, had left her sleeping in the room she shares with her brothers, the Daily News reported. Upon returning home, they found the window open and their daughter complaining of pain.
