Teen's Joyride With Subway Cars In Queens Leads To Arrest, Cops Say
A youth, 16, arrested Tuesday was one of several people seen on video taking a train for a joyride in Forest Hills, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A youth who took a Queens subway train for a joyride has been arrested, police said.
The 16-year-old boy faces a slew of charges, including reckless endangerment and criminal tampering, from a caught-on-video Dec. 30 inside two unoccupied train cars near the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station, authorities said.
Several people, including the boy, entered the cars' operators compartments and took them on a brief joyride before they ran off about 4:45 p.m., NYPD officials said.

The joyride prompted police to release a video showing people inside the unoccupied train car in hopes that the public would help identify the suspects.

The youth was arrested Tuesday on charges of reckless endangerment, criminal tampering, criminal trespass, trespass and disorderly conduct, police said.
