BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in a Whitestone residence for nearly two hours Wednesday morning, according to the FDNY.
The fire broke out just after 6:20 a.m., bringing several units and firefighters to the two-story residence located at 147-14 23 Avenue, officials said.
The FDNY says the blaze was put out at 8:20 a.m.

Eight civilians and three firefighters were injured and were later taken to nearby hospitals.
