Watch Party For Mayoral Election Debate In Queens
Watch New York City mayoral candidates in the last general election debate on Nov. 1.

QUEENS, NY – New Yorkers can watch candidates in the race for New York City mayor face off in their last debate among neighbors and friends at an outdoor viewing party in Queens.
The debate on Nov. 1 will be streamed live on a jumbotron at 78th Street Plaza, located at 33-45 78th St., in Jackson Heights. The watch party will include voting registration stands, local food vendors, and a DJ.
NYC Votes and Transportation Alternatives will host the public party in hopes of gathering New Yorkers to discuss the issues affecting them and their communities before voting in the general election Nov. 7.

"New York City's Debate Program allows voters to compare candidates side-by-side and to learn about their visions for the city," said Amy Loprest, executive director of the NYC Campaign Finance Board.
At the watch party, New Yorkers can also register to vote with Dominicanos USA and learn more about civic engagement, local plazas and parks, and more.

"We believe these watch parties will help people engage directly and deeply with the choices they will make for their communities on Nov. 7," Loprest said.
The debate will be broadcast live starting at 7 p.m. by CBS 2 News, WLNY-TV 10/55, 1010WINS and NewsRadio 880 from CUNY TV Studios in Manhattan.
