Woman Killed, 1 Other Critically Injured After Belt Parkway Crash
The driver and a 30-year-old man were ejected from the vehicle, police said.
QUEENS, NY — A 27-year-old driver was killed, and a passenger was critically injured after a crash on the Belt Parkway in Queens over the weekend, police said.
The incident happened on Saturday around 3:47 a.m. in the vicinity of 233rd Street, police said.
The 27-year-old woman, driving a Toyota Camry, was traveling eastbound on the Belt Parkway when she failed to navigate the roadway, and the vehicle collided with sand barrels.

The driver and a 30-year-old man were ejected from the vehicle, police said.
The woman was transported to Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, where she was pronounced dead.

The male passenger was transported to North Shore University Hospital in critical condition.
There have been no arrests and an investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
The identity of the deceased victim has not been released pending family notification.
