Woman's Body Found Floating In The East River: NYPD

QUEENS, NY — A 60-year-old woman was pulled from the East River near College Point Thursday afternoon, police said.

The woman's body was found in the waters near 115th Street and Poppenhusen Ave. just before 3 p.m., police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman has since been identified as Qiang Wu, police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

An investigation remains ongoing.
