Don't Miss: Kerry Kearney & Friends Perform In Riverhead Tuesday In New Series Spotlighting Local Eateries
The event is free — but food pantry donations are encouraged to benefit those struggling to feed their families this season.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A musical event is planned for Tuesday night in Riverhead sure to warm hearts after the day's cold temperatures — and feed those struggling with food insecurity in the area.
"Join us for some holiday blues and fantastic food at Ziggy’s Music Room at Polish Hall by none other than our favorite main blues man Kerry Kearney," wrote Riverhead Lions Club President Lisa Pickersgill.
The event takes place on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ziggy's Room in the Riverhead Polish Hall, located at 214 Marcy Avenue in Riverhead.

Sponsored by the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, "Food Unites," said Chamber Executive Diretor Liz O’Shaughnessy is an effort to "bring the community together, help drive business to local restaurants and celebrate the amazing diversity of food and cultures throughout the Town of Riverhead."
She added: "It’s a month long invite for you to get together with family and friends and explore dining options here in Riverhead and the immediate surrounding areas. Throughout the month participating venues will be hosting some very talented local musicians thanks to a grant from Suffolk County. Please frequent these fine establishments... maybe you will find your new favorite eatery. Enjoy some live music while feasting on some fabulous cuisine! Food Unites Riverhead! Get out there and have some fun !"

Tuesday night's event features Kerry Kearney & Friends, she said. Admission is free — and guests and fans of Kearney's are encouraged to bring food donations to benefit the local food pantry at Church of the Harvest.
