On July 20, the Peconic River Sportsman’s Club held a “Ladies Shoot” for the women of the North Fork Breast Health Coalition, Babylon Breast Coalition and Lucia’s Angels. The cancer patients and survivors enjoyed a free educational morning followed by a convivial lunch.

PRSC Members Joe Hocker and Marilyn Lehrfeld co-chaired the annual event. Lehrfeld said, “The Ladies Shoot is meant to teach the women how to safely enjoy skeet-shooting at the club’s range. It’s a fun day and prepares them for our annual fundraising event, which will be held on Sunday, September 8, starting at 8 AM.”

Peconic River Sportsman’s Club is located on 400 acres in Manorville and open to the public on a limited basis. For more information on the fundraiser, “Take a Shot at Cancer,” contact Natalie Lugo at nlugo0502@gmail.com. A detailed schedule will be announced soon.
