'We Are Prepared For The Storm': Riverhead Supervisor Updates Residents On Preparedness Efforts
PSEG Long Island will be using EPCAL as a staging area, supervisor says.

RIVERHEAD, NY — With a nor'easter setting to sock Long Island Sunday with damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour, heavy rain and coastal flooding, Riverhead town officials are ready to help residents weather the storm.
"We are prepared for the storm," Riverhead Town Supervisor Tim Hubbard told Patch. "We expect localized flooding and high winds. The highway department is ready and on standby with the pump trucks and the police department is prepared for any storm-related issues."
Hubbard added that the town has a staging agreement with PSEG Long Island to use the EPCAL runway; PSEGLI will be staging crews at that location.
