Wind Advisory In Effect Across LI Wednesday: NWS
Gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are expected, the National Weather Service says.

LONG ISLAND, NY — A wind advisory is in effect across Long Island Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. West winds are expected to become northwest Wednesday afternoon, with 20 to 25 mile winds, and gusts of 45 to 50 miles per hour, expected, the NWS said.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result, the NWS said.

"Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects," the NWS said.
