2 Work Sessions Added for Rivertowns Square

The Dobbs Ferry Planning Board will discuss the proposed multi-use project, off the Saw Mill River Parkway in Dobbs Ferry, on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

  • Correction: The work session on Oct. 22 will be held at the Embassy Community Center, not village hall.

 

The Dobbs Ferry Planning Board will continue questioning developers for the proposed Rivertowns Square project at two upcoming work sessions.

The project’s final environmental impact statement (FEIS) will be reviewed on Monday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 112 Main St, and on Monday, Oct. 22 at the Embassy Community Center, 60 Palisade St.

The planning board will make recommendations to the Dobbs Ferry Board of Trustees for the board’s development of the findings statement, the final stage in the environmental review.

A copy of the FEIS can me found here on the Village’s website and at village hall. A public hearing for the project will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Embassy Community Center.

Rivertowns Square Project

A Final Environmental Impact Statement (“FEIS”) has been completed and accepted for the proposed action described below.  A public hearing on the FEIS will be held on Tuesday, October 30th, 2012, commencing at 6:30 p.m. at the Embassy Community Center, 60 Palisade Street, Dobbs Ferry, New York 10522. 

This notice is issued pursuant to Part 617 of the implementing regulations pertaining to Article 8 (State Environmental Quality Review Act) of the Environmental Conservation Law.

Description of Action: 

Application by Saber Dobbs Ferry LLC and Lincoln Dobbs Ferry LLC, as co-developers, for site plan approval of a proposed mixed-use redevelopment of the former AKZO Nobel Chemical, Inc. property.  In response to comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (“DEIS”), the applicant has modified the project to now include: (i) approximately 202 residential units (including affordable units); (ii) an approximately 18,000 square foot supermarket; (iii) approximately 62,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space; (iv) an approximately 123 room hotel; and (v) a 33,600 square foot hotel, together with approximately 1228 parking spaces to serve all uses.

Location of Action:

The subject property is located on Stanley Avenue, Danforth Avenue, Livingstone Avenue, Ogden Avenue and Lawrence Street, Dobbs ferry, New York.
