A 54-year-old Brooklyn woman was arrested for drunk driving on May 8 and is accused of damaging two parked cars in Dobbs Ferry and fleeing the scene of the accident.

Witnesses reported seeing a dark colored vehicle hit a parked car on Beacon Hill Drive around 7:14 p.m., which caused the car she hit to strike another car parked in front of it. Both cars sustained rear bumper damage, while one car also had damage to its front.

The car reportedly fled the scene. Police spotted a car fitting the same description which they pulled over on Ashford Avenue. Police said that parts of the vehicle found at the scene of the accident matched the 53-year-old’s car. A Breathalyzer test revealed that the driver's blood alcohol level was over the legal limit, police said.

She was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, one charge was for suspicion of DWI and the other charge was given since she took the breath test, which police said confirmed the DWI.

She was released on her own recognizance and must return to village court on June 6.
