Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Rivertowns:

1. The Hastings Historical Society is seeking artwork contributions from late Hastings residents for a special exhibit opening on Sunday, Oct. 27. "We are particularly interested in works that are representative of life in Hastings in some way," the Historical Society said. If you have work you would like to submit, contact Jan Clough or Debby Beece May at the Observatory Cottage by calling 914- 478-2249 or email at hhscottage@gmail.com.

2. Spoken Interludes is back for its new season in Hasting-on-Hudson next week. Get the details on the first book-reading, to be held at The RiverView, here.

3. Wednesday will bring mainly sunny skies, with highs in the low-70s.

4. Troopers Seek Witnesses in Fatal Bear Mountain Parkway Crash was one of yesterday's most-read stories.

5. "How crazed is your household becoming?" "Is your teen procrastinating on his essays?" These are questions Patch blogger and college essay pro Randy Levin is writing about.
