Biden To Arrive In Westchester Thursday Afternoon

The president will land initially at JFK International Airport and then travel to Westchester County Airport.

IRVINGTON, NY — Some, but not all, details about the visit to Westchester County of President Joe Biden for a campaign fundraiser have been announced, and the schedule will impact peak commuting time.

Police are not specifying routes the presidential motorcade will be taking while getting to and traveling around Irvington, but Biden will be arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Factbase’s reporting of the president’s public schedule.

He will then arrive at Westchester County Airport around 5 p.m. and will attend the fundraising event from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

After the event, Biden and his entourage will leave from the Westchester County Airport for the Wall Street Landing Zone in New York City.

Some area schools have anticipated traffic delays and announced changes to their schedules for Thursday.

Schools in Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington and Tarrytown said classes will be dismissed early and some after-school activities have been canceled.

Biden will be attending a campaign event that will cost guests up to $100,000.

Among those said to be attending are husband-and-wife actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones and fashion designer Eileen Fisher.
