Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Rivertowns:

1. Today at the Irvington Public Library, Options for College President Keith Berman is presenting a lecture on "What Counts in the College Admissions Process" from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. More details are here.

2. The Hastings-on-Hudson Recreation Department is now accepting registration for its fall tennis program, to be held at the Hillside Courts. Lessons for kids from four to 15. Register online here.

3. Thursday will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the low-eighties. The UV index is "high," so apply sunblock if you're headed outside for an extended period of time.

4. "Lowey: Federal Budget Cuts Would Threaten Local Companies" was one of yesterday's most-read stories.

5. With the iconic and watershed March on Washington now 50 years in the past, Patch bloggers are sounding off on the implications, and their personal memories. Here, blogger Jackie Cassagnol shares a glimpse back at that historic day.
