College Student Found with Head Lacerations

This report was derived from information from the Dobbs Ferry Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A security guard at the dormitories for Mercy College called police on Dec. 15 at 1:48 a.m. to report a student with severe head lacerations and contusions to his face. The student was taken to Dobbs Ferry Hospital while police investigated the incident.

According to law enforcement officials, the student was punched several times by one of the residents of a Broadway home that Mercy College students rent. A friend found the 23-year-old student face down on the sidewalk in front of the home where a party was taking place and brought him back to the Mercy College dorms.

Police said that alcohol was allegedly being served at the party and that individuals who attended the party were intoxicated.
