Court 16 Serving Soon: New Pickleball Club Coming To Ridge Hill
The new facility at the Westchester shopping mecca will be the NYC-based indoor tennis and pickleball club's first suburban location.

YONKERS, NY — A new club coming to a Westchester retail destination will mean it's always perfect weather for a match with friends.
The transformation of Ridge Hill continues with the announcement that Court 16, the NYC-based boutique indoor tennis and pickleball club, has just signed a lease for a new 16,500-square-foot indoor facility, next to D1 Training, across from Whole Foods. Court 16 Ridge Hill is expected to open in the summer of 2025.
Court 16 Ridge Hill will mark the company’s fourth location and its first in Westchester County, joining flagship locations in Long Island City, Downtown Brooklyn, and Manhattan's Financial District.

Started in 2014, Court 16 is named after the court where co-founder/CEO Anthony Evrard, a former nationally ranked junior tennis player, first learned to play tennis with his grandfather in Brussels. He says that Court 16 was inspired by his lifelong love of the game and his desire to reimagine the sport for the next generation.

"It’s been extremely rewarding over the past decade to grow Court 16 into the innovative recreational hub it is today, and we're thrilled to expand to Westchester," Evrard said. "Ridge Hill’s family-friendly environment and premium retail lineup make it the perfect location for our next chapter. We’re really excited to share our remixed racquet sport culture with the community."
The new facility will have six permanent USTA-sanctioned courts (five 44-foot courts and one 60-foot court), designed for both adults and kids (3 and up) to learn. Year-round offerings will include Court 16's popular ball machine training, a high-intensity group class for adults, along with private, semi-private, and group lessons, summer camps, and pickleball leagues. The location will also serve as a venue for birthday parties, corporate events, and special occasions. Enrollment for the Kids Academy, which organizes tennis classes by age and skill level, will open in the spring of 2025, along with adult memberships and signature programming.
The deal was secured by Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions (AM-PS), which is partnering with North American Properties (NAP) on Ridge Hill's retail leasing. The NYC-based commercial real estate advisory firm has been helping revamp Ridge Hill’s offerings with top-tier local and NYC-inspired businesses as well as popular lifestyle brands. Matthew Krell, managing director, Max Swerdloff, senior analyst, Daniel Bodner, senior vice president, and Lucas Kooyman, vice president, are overseeing the efforts.
"Ridge Hill's transformation is all about curating exceptional experiences that resonate with today's dynamic consumer base," Krell said. "Bringing a concept like Court 16 into the mix aligns perfectly with our vision of creating a vibrant, lifestyle-driven destination. Their innovative approach to racquet sports, coupled with a community focus, will enhance the unique offerings at Ridge Hill and draw both local families and visitors seeking high-quality, year-round activities."
In May 2022, North American Properties (NAP), Nuveen Real Estate (Nuveen), and Taconic Partners formed a joint venture partnership to acquire Ridge Hill. The company announced that Phase I of its redevelopment, which focuses on enhancing the public space, is near completion.
