The budget increase is expected to result in a projected tax levy increase of 0.0 percent.

The Dobbs Ferry Union Free School District has proposed a budget for the 2016-17 school year. The budget factors in the following amounts:
Total Proposed Budget: $42,371,331
Projected Budget Increase: 1.0 percent

Projected Tax Rate Increase: 0.2 percent

The goals to be funded by the budget include:
- Maintain all K-12 curriculum offerings
- Continue accreditation process for IB Middle Years Program (MYP)
- Increase support of English Language Arts (ELA) Academy at Springhurst
- Expand online learning technologies district-wide
- Continue opportunities for professional staff development
- Support continuum of special education services
School district residents can also vote for the three school board members who are up for reelection or write in a candidate. The board members are Jean Lucasey, Louis Schwartz and Rita Kennedy.
Voting takes place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the high school gym.
