Hastings Jazz Benefit Concert
Where/When: The First Reformed Church of Hastings on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 4 p.m.Why go: For the third consecutive year, a benefit concert will raise funds for Hastings Helps the Hungry and The Sharing Community of Yonkers. Three-time Grammy winning bassist John Patitucci will lead his band in the evening of jazz. There will be a silent auction.

Jazz Forum Arts Brazil Project
Where/When: Irvington Public Library on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.Why go: Mark Morganelli will be joined by Paul Meyers for an afternoon of jazz at the library.

Dixieland Express Jazz Band Concert
Where/When: Greenburgh Public Library on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 3 p.m.Why go: Check out a fun, family-friendly jazz concert at the library Sunday afternoon. The Dixieland Express Jazz Band specializes in the early 20th century Dixieland-style.

Church Attic Sale
Where/When: Irvington Presbyterian Church on Friday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Why go: The Presbyterian Church is throwing is annual attic sale Friday and Saturday. Stop by to browse a selection of household items, clothing, books, collectibles and more.

Lyndhurst Landscape Ramble
Where/When: Lyndhurst on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10:30 a.m.Why go: Tour the grounds of Lyndhurst in Sunday and you'll have a chance to see the greenhouse complex, rose garden and more. Dress for hilly terrain and bring rain gear. Not recommended for children under six.
