HUDSON VALLEY, NY — With Halloween fast approaching, a recent study ranked one Westchester County location as the safest city in the United States for trick-or-treating.
According to a new analysis by SafeHome.org, Yonkers ranks as the Number 1 safest city in the U.S. for trick-or-treaters. The city took the top spot "thanks to low crime rates, a strong police presence, and a pedestrian-fatality rate of zero," according to the analysts.
The study analyzed key safety metrics across 161 cities, including: crime, pedestrian fatalities, number of registered sex offenders, and number of law enforcement employees.
