Imamura said he is a progressive candidate focused on advancing the values of Westchester residents by fighting for the issues of affordable housing, sustainability, efficient transportation, affordability, rebuilding the infrastructure, campaign finance reform and social justice.
He is the Board’s first Asian-American legislator.
The Board of Legislators said, upon certification of the election results by the Board of Elections, Imamura will be seated immediately to serve the remainder of the 2022-23 legislative term. However, he must run again later this year to retain the seat.
