An immigrants fascinating story--Mahesh Kotecha-- from Uganda to Hastings!

The River Finds Its Course

One of the most enjoyable aspects of being Greenburgh Town Supervisor is the opportunity to meet fascinating residents. Mahesh Kotecha, a resident of Hastings, has lived an interesting life. A former resident of Uganda, Mahesh overcame the challenges of being an immigrant. He wrote a book and is the guest on Solving Problems.
“The River Finds Its Course.”
Mahesh grew up in Uganda. He experienced political change and unrest and had an extraordinary journey marked by exile, reinvention, and success.
His life was uprooted by Idi Amin’s brutal expulsion of Asians from Uganda. He became stateless. He forged a new path—working at the United Nations and later with the New York Federal Reserve and Standard & Poor’s before founding his own financial advisory firm.
Mahesh Kotecha takes reader from the banks of the White Nile to the corridors of international investment banking. He represents immigration at it’s best!
