Irvington Names New Dows Lane Assistant Principal
Margaret Benedetto's appointment was approved by the Board of Education at a special meeting.
Amidst a number of administrative changes at Dows Lane Elementary School over the past few years, a new assistant principal is in place for the 2013-14 school year.
At an early morning special meeting on August 2, Margaret Benedetto was appointed as a three-year probationary assistant principal at Dows Lane.
Her appointment went into effect as of August 5 and lasts through Aug. 5, 2016.
According to the Board's records, Benedetto's annual salary was set at $120,000. She will be paid a pro-rated amount of $108,923.08 for the current year.
