Officer Injured During Hurricane, Gun Shots

  • Correction: The officer was injured during Hurricane Sandy not Hurricane Irene

 

  • Two police cars were damaged during Hurricane Sandy, while a tree branch that fell injured a police officer’s eye.
  • On Oct. 25 at 2:08 p.m. a fire was reported at the Irvington Reservoir. It was caused when the reservoir was being emptied before Hurricane Sandy. There was heavy black smoke and no structural damage done.
  • On Oct. 28 around 12:51 a.m. several residents in the vicinity of 120 N. Broadway reported to call hearing several gunshots. Tarrytown Police received similar reports from individuals who live in the area. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the source.
