Yonkers Man Arrested for DWI

This report was derived from information from the Dobbs Ferry Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 22-year-old Yonkers man was arrested for allegedly drunk driving on Dec. 27 at 6 a.m. after he failed to move at a green light at Lawrence and Stanley avenues.

A police officer, who was in his car directly behind the 22-year-old’s 2012 Honda Civic, made several attempts to honk and advise the Honda’s driver that the light had changed.

The police officer suspected that the Yonkers man could have been unconscious behind the wheel. When the officer went up to the man’s car, he found that the 22-year-old allegedly appeared intoxicated. Sobriety testing allegedly determined that his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit.
