Baldwin Man Arrested After Knifepoint Hold-Up Faces Charges In Connection With 2 Other Robberies: Police
Police say they found the man responsible for another robbery at a Qwik Pic in Baldwin and a grand larceny in Rockville Centre.
BALDWIN, NY. — A 27-year-old man is facing charges for three November robberies, after he was arrested in connection with a Thursday-night knifepoint robbery at a Baldwin Sunoco, police said.
Nassau County police said Baldwin resident Austin Dupuy attempted to rob a Grand Avenue Sunoco at knifepoint just after 11 p.m. Thursday, leaving the gas station with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said they found him near the Sunoco and arrested him after he violently resisted arrest, recovering three knives.
Upon investigation, police said they found Dupuy had been responsible for an attempted robbery at a Baldwin Qwik Pic on Nov. 7 and a grand larceny in Rockville Centre on Nov. 10.

Dupuy was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree grand larceny and resisting arrest, police said.
His arraignment was scheduled for Friday, police said.
