
A Brooklyn man was arrested in Baldwin on Saturday after he allegedly tried to use phony prescriptions to get prescription drugs, police said.
According to police, on June 19 at 8:35 p.m., Derrick Savage, 45, allegedly presented a prescription in his name to the pharmacist at the Pathmark at 1764 Grand Ave. for 90 Percocet pills. Then, on July 5, he presented two prescriptions for Percocet and Phenergan, and then on July 27 another for Percocet.
The pharmacist notified police and the defendant was arrested at the scene at 7:50 p.m.

Savage was charged with four counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument.
