Davis Wins Reelection In Hometown County Leg. District
The Rockville Centre resident defeated challenger Charlene Jackson Thompson.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. — Scott Davis won reelection in Nassau County’s 1st County Legislature district Tuesday, defeating Republican challenger Charlene Jackson Thompson by over 5,000 votes.
According to unofficial results by the Nassau Couty Board of Elections, Davis carried 9,367 votes in the southern-Nassau district, while Jackson Thompson received 4,684 votes. Davis’s total was good for 66.63 percent of the votes whereas Jackson Thompson’s amounted to 33.32 percent.
The electoral win means a second term for Davis, a Hempstead native who runs a law firm bearing his name in Queens. He ran on a platform emphasizing fiscal transparency, responsible development, and economic stewardship and sustainability.
