Fundraising Run For Local Veterans Tops $25,000 In Donations

LYNBROOK, NY — A fundraiser to support local veterans received more than $25,000. The Run for Heroes, an annual event hosted by Assemblyman Brian Curran (R-Lynbrook) saw 170 runners participate on Saturday.

"I am so grateful for everyone who came out to raise money for our veterans. I take great pride in honoring those who protect our freedoms, and as an assemblyman, this is an event I look forward to every year, and I am always blown away by how successful it is. I know the funds raised will be put to good use to help serve our wonderful veterans," Curran said.

Money raised from the run will go to veterans organizations in Lynbrook, East Rockaway, Malverne, Rockville Centre, Baldwin and Freeport.
