Hess, Gulf Have Cheapest Gas in RVC

Are you heading out on a weekend getaway tomorrow? Or trying to find a way to cut down on  traveling expenses? Here's a guide to finding those inexpensive pumps around the village so you can save a few bucks on gas.

The gas prices listed below were compiled today, Sept. 9.

According to motortrend.com, the Hess station at 580 Sunrise Highway sells the cheapest regular gas at $2.65 per gallon, while the Gulf station at 2 Sunrise Highway has the lowest priced premium gas at $2.89 per gallon.

Hess also sells the cheapest diesel fuel at $3.05 a gallon. If you fill your car or truck up with plus-gas, then you'll have to travel outside of the village to find the best value. The Sunoco station at 3414 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside has it at $2.85 a gallon.

In contrast, the highest priced regular gas can be found at the Shell station at 516 Merrick Rd, which sells it at $2.86 a gallon. It also has the most expensive diesel fuel, selling at $3.43 a gallon.  The Getty at 171 Sunrise Highway sells the most expensive premium gas at $2.99 a gallon.
