June 3: Village Board Recap, Film Festival and House Hunt

Thank goodness it's Friday! The weekend is finally here, so as you plan out how you're spending it, let us tell you what's happening in and around the village so you can start your weekend off right.

1. Missed the village board meeting last night? Patch will recap it today at 1 p.m.

2. The Central Synagogue of Nassau County is hosting a Shabbat Seder today from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. This seder is their family service for June and Rabbi Gruber will offer birthday and anniversary blessings for June and July. It costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

5. In collaboration with the Gold Coast Film Festival, Nassau County Museum of Art is offering offer public screenings of several films that complement Richard Avedon: Photographer of Influence, a major exhibition that opened on May 21. 

Friday's film is "The September Issue," a documentary that offers a rare look inside Vogue as the fashion magazine's influential editor, Anna Wintour, and creative director, Grace Coddington, produce the highly anticipated September issue.
