Election 2022: Congressional District 4 D'Esposito Defeats Gillen: BOE
The race is to fill the seat of the retiring Kathleen Rice.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The 4th Congressional District will have a new face in January.
Anthony D'Esposito defeated Laura Gillen, according to unofficial results from the Nassau County Board of Elections. Gillen, however, has not conceded the race.
With all precincts tallied, the Town of Hempstead councilman has 137,899. The Democrat Gillen, and former Town of Hempstead Supervisor, has 127,748 votes, the BOE has on its website.

Gillen spoke to supporters shortly after midnight early, saying she'd wait to see what happens "once the votes are counted."
D'Esposito is a former NYPD detective.
