Lynbrook Man Charged with Swiping Glove at Islanders Game
Police say he took a glove from a team bench at the end of a game against the Washington Capitals.

A Lynbrook man has been charged with stealing a hockey glove at a New York Islanders game last month, according to Nassau County Police.
Matthew Kircheim, 35, swiped a blue and orange hockey glove at an April 25 game against the Washington Capitals at Nassau Coliseum, cops said. Kircheim took the glove from the Isles team bench toward the end of the game, police said.

Kircheim was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket. He is due at First District Court in Hempstead on June 2.

The charges come one day after police released a photo of Kircheim wearing the glove and toasting with a beer in a parking lot.
