Man Assaults Nurse At Nassau Hospital: Police
The man struck a registered nurse multiple times in the abdomen, causing him substantial pain, police say.
OCEANSIDE, NY — A Long Beach man was arrested after Nassau police said he assaulted a registered nurse at a hospital.
Officers responded to Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital, at 1 One Healthy Way, Oceanside, at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. Omid Zar, 53, struck a male nurse multiple times in the abdomen causing substantial pain, police said.
Zar was arrested without further incident and charged with second-degree assault, police said.

He was slated to be arraigned on Monday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
