PHOTOS: Tanglewood Preserve Hosts 'Spooky Walk'

Local preserve hosts Halloween fright night for kids and teens.

In the spirit of Halloween, the Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre hosted a "Spooky Walk" for kids and teens on Friday and Saturday night. Ghouls and goblins could be found scouring the forest looking to scare any one brave enough to walk the haunted route, and the first 200 kids who attended the event received a Halloween goody bag of candy. The walk through the "haunted woods" was reserved for older kids, while a Halloween display — The Friendly Forest — was for the younger ones.

Inside the center, little kids and their parents ate candy, painted masks and created an assortment of crafts.
