Popular Bellmore Restaurant Closes After 12 Years
"It has been such a pleasure to get to know so many of you, who have become like family over the years," Morning Rose Cafe said on Facebook.
BELLMORE, NY — A popular Bellmore restaurant has closed.
Morning Rose Cafe on Bedford Avenue in Bellmore Village had intended to shut for vacation through September 11.
"However, I have had some time to reflect in the last few weeks and decided that we will “not” re-open following our vacation," the owner posted to Facebook.

Morning Rose Cafe was in business for 12 years.
"It has been such a pleasure to get to know so many of you, who have become like family over the years," she wrote.

Two days later, she posted again, in response to the comments from former customers.
"We are completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all of you. You have 'literally' brought tears to our eyes."
She said they are "truly humbled by your kindness. Just to know that we have brightened so many lives, via special events, celebrations or memories with family that will last a lifetime, is an incredible gift. One that we will cherish always."
